In animated form (as opposed to the manga), Death Note is much more dramatic. It’s very sleek, very dynamic; it takes a pro to make writing down peoples’ names seem dramatic. I recently started replaying Legendia - not sure why - and I noticed something rather...odd.

Will likes to pretend he's not a sheriff. Okay, fine, whatever. Why, then, does he have jail cells in his basement? What would he use them for, if not to hold criminals?

As much as I love the Tales series (ToL included), I must admit that Tales of Legendia has some serious problems. For example, the battle system is essentially a dumbed-down version of Tales of Symphonia's battle system. You know, I fucking love this show. I don't even know why; it's horribly cheesy and dumb, especially the ending.
